1. Manipulatives Strategies
Manipulative are concrete devices that students can move and handle to support their thinking and learning. They are mostly used in math and science.
- The teacher should begin with identifying concepts that are going to be taught and ways to represent them .
- The teacher should demonstrate and explain to the students what they will be doing.
- The teacher should provide the teachers with guided practice.
- The teacher should then provide the students with additional time to for practice.
- The students should celebrate their demonstrations and the teacher should then review with the students.
- The teacher should continue to assess and improve on the use of manipulatives in the classroom throughout the curriculum.
