9. Learning Centers Learning Centers are places in a classroom where the students can engage in hands -on activities that allow them to obtain additional experience in using new skills.
- The teacher will begin by identifying the skills that need to be practiced.
- Then the teacher will introduce the students to the centers.
- The teacher will explain in detail what each center is and how it works, and what the students should be accomplishing.
- The teacher will show the students how to document their center work.
- The teacher will walk around and assess students progress.
- Once students have managed the centers the teacher may feel comfortable adding technology.
